Klosterhof hotel project concept evaluation with profitability forecast
Client:
Färber Hotelbetriebs GmbH
Steilhofweg 19
83457 Bayerisch Gmain, Germany
Brief project description:
After the Färber family took over the historic Gasthof Hotel Klosterhof in Berchtesgaden district, it was clear very early on that their intention was to invest in the hotel property: the small hotel with 12 rooms, 3 dining rooms and a beer garden was to be turned into a professionally managed medium-sized health and wellness hotel with its own doctor's practice.
After developing a concept and creating a business plan, the family asked Kohl & Partner to conduct a plausibility analysis and perform a profitability forecast.
Key elements of the project:
- The primary objective of a plausibility analysis should be to give the owners assurance with regard to their planned investment
- The analysis should highlight weaknesses in the provided documents, as well as the resulting possible risks
- The facts of the situation and the existing concepts and plans are reviewed to provide a "second opinion" before construction begins. This is of considerable value in the decision-making process
